Measuring the nutritional value of kebabs cannot ever be accurate due to the various portion sizes, ingredients etc used by different restaurants. Below are some figures quoted from CalorieKing and Mens Health Magazine.

CalorieKing.com states that 1 serving of a Doner kebab is 14.1 oz and contains 550 calories. This serving of kebab will also contain 26g of fat, 54g of Carbohydrate and 25g of Protein.

Mens Health Magazine compared Lamb Shish Kebabs to Greek Style Kofke Kebabs and concluded the following ...

Lamb Shish Kebab...
Per kebab, 145 calories, 16.3g protein, 7.3g fat (0.8g sat), 2.5g carbohydrates, 1.5g fibre, 0.5g sodium

Greek-Style Kofte Kebab....
Per kebab, 196 calories, 11.2g protein, 15.3g fat (5g sat), 3.4g carbohydrates, 1.2g fibre, 0.6g sodium

   

Doner Kebab vs Big Mac

Tom Sanders (Professor of nutrition at Kings College London) tested 9 different fast foods for their harmful Trans fat content and concluded that the kebab was the most unhealthy. A Doner Kebab contained 10 times more trans fat than a portion of chicken tikka masala and over 6 times more than a Big Mac and fries.
